Our Story
Hey there chaos lovers! Welcome to Nevermore Mysteries, the best place for free form imaginative murder mystery parties. Ever since I was young, I love reading mystery stories, playing Clue (I turned my basement into a life size clue board for my 13th birthday party), and other murder mystery games. I also grew up doing lots of theatre and loved writing short skits or putting on plays.

All that combined, started my love for free form murder mystery games. I play them as teenagers with my siblings and friends, and we still laugh about the hilarity that transpired when playing those games. I loved the ability to dress up and play a character while working with friends to solve a mystery.

I started writing murder mystery party games a couple years ago when I wanted to host one for my birthday. I couldn't find a theme I was looking for, so decided to write it myself. My friends liked it enough that I wrote and hosted another, and another. And we haven't stopped having fun since then!
I am so amazed at how excited people are to play these games. Word about them spread so quickly that I would met friends of friends at social events, and they would say, "I've heard of you. You're the murder girl."
I created Nevermore Mysteries, because I'm passionate about creating interactive game that bring people together. Our vision is to strengthen relationships through imaginative and wholesome play. I hope through our games you are able to create that experience with your friends, dress up, play pretend, and let your inner child run wild!

What Makes Our Games Different?
We've played a lot of murder mystery games out there and we like to think we’ve chosen the best game mechanics from them. Our games are inspired by interactive role playing games like Dungeons and Dragons and designed for a mischievous group who love playing chaotic, trust breaking games like Secret Hitler or Munchikin. In this game don’t just sit around a table and read a script. Pretend you are actually there at the Viking Yule Feast and move around the room or have multiple rooms. Play, conspire together, form teams, and start fights. Use your imagination, let your inner child run wild, get crazy, think of all the ways you can bend the rules, have fun, and build memories you’ll be talking about for years! We give you and your guest basic background information and you take it from there. How will the game end? Only you and your players can decide.
What to Expect
Three Phased Game: All our games are played in three phases with new evidence, playing rules, and surprises to keep everyone interested and on their toes.

Basic and Advanced Actions: All players are welcome to complete basic actions such as walking around, talking to other players, forming alliances, etc at any time. But the fun doesn't stop there. If there is something crazy a player wants to do like pickpocket another player, start a raid, or even get married it's absolutely allowed. Just ask the game host first.

Play Again and Again: All our games have the opportunity for any (or all) players to be the killer. Some even allow any player to be the victim. These aren't scripted games, it's a choose your own adventure. Anything could happen! You can play again and again with the same friend group and be surprised every time.

Themes with a Twist: We try to create themes that have not been thought of before or give them a twist if every other murder mystery game company has that theme. We don't want to give away too many surprises but think Vikings, pink dolls, and a cursed Gatsby party.
